Raisins are known as the healthiest of all dried fruits. They are concentrated in minerals such as iron, calcium, magnesium and potassium. They are therefore useful for prevention of anemia, stress and high blood pressure. They are also an excellent source of fibre and antioxidants.
The health benefits of raisins are resistant to cooking. They can be soaked before cooking so that they will be softer and juicier. They are used in desserts as often as they are found in main dishes for those who prefer sweet and salty.
